    Float Fishing set up

I have been using my spin casting rod and reel forever with good success but after reading this board and seeing some folks hook up with float reels I have decided I would like to give it a go.
Looking for a rod and reel combo that will not have me looking to take out a loan but is not at the bottom of the barrel either. Something I can learn with and perhaps upgrade to something better in a year or so but will work well for me while I learn what I am doing with it.
Suggestions? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Not sure if you are a member of any other fishing boards but some of them have a classified section with enough used float gear for sale to outfit most Canadians lol...Not much float gear available here though, guys must be collectors:P

I am open to both new or good used.
Which stores locally carry the Streamside and Okuma or Admunsen?
I am in Paisley but will be in Mississauga today.

Natural Sports in Kitchener has a good selection of float gear. I know they have a few starter combos in the $200 - $400 range and go up from there.

If you can still make it, take a detour through Woodstock and stop by angling outfitters. Jos will set you up for a very fair price!

Kingsway Guelph carries both Streamside and Okuma Seen Amundsen rods there, they maybe carrying the reels too. Prices are very competitive there.

Found a rod and reel on kijiji early this morning and now it is home.
Let me know what you think of the new to me float rod and reel.
Now I just can not wait to get out and give it a try!!
