Rainbow Trout Stocking on Earth day

Volunteers started to show up before 8am to get ready to Stock the 60,000+ Rainbow Trout, there were 4 tanks on trailers used to move them to their new home on the Saugeen River, Tires, Pumps & Air Tanks were checked, water was loaded into the Tanks & the Rainbows were on there way. Al did a great job organizing the Day, at least 3 different local Reporters showed up from the Press. Nice to meet some Old & New Friends. Job well done, Lake Huron Fishing Club & Ontario Steelheaders.
    Thanx & Tight Lines Richard

Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers that worked on earth day to do the stocking and for all their hard work before hand to raise the 60000 little guys.

I had a great time and was glad to help out. You don't realize the work that goes into raising and releasing these fish so a big thanks to all the hatchery staff and the guys that made it out yesterday to help out.

It was pretty neat to see about 3000 rainbow fly out of a hose into the geen and disapper into the current in about 5 mins. A great way to spend the day.
