Scuds are a lost fly but very effective tied in lots of color variations
Hook: Kamasan Grubber size 16-10
Tail: Hackle Barbs Color of dubbing to be used
Shell Back: Clear Scud back or color of dubbing
Body: I used tan Life Cycle (make sure to pick out the bottom for legs) tie from the head back to the tail and use the thread to make segments
Rib: Thread from dubbed body
Eyes: Mono or bead chain
Scuds are a found just about everywhere there is water, get them down quickly in slow moving water or still water. I fish them as a tandem when nymphing with very good results.
