    South Bruce Declares State of Emergency in Response to COVID-19

    The Municipality of South Bruce Declares State of Emergency in Response to COVID-19
    Mayor Robert Buckle has officially declared a state of emergency in the Municipality of South Bruce in response to COVID-19. Declaring an emergency allows the Municipality of South Bruce to make use of available resources to assist in the health and well-being of all residents including accessing any provincial funding that may become available in the future.
    “We are taking precautionary steps to be proactive in reducing the spread of COVID-19, say’s Mayor Buckle. “It is important for everyone to exercise social distancing measures and to self-isolate at this time.”
    The declaration has been made as a precautionary step at this time. The Municipality of South Bruce is urging all residents to stay home, to practice physical distancing, and proper hygiene protocols outlined by the Provincial Medical Officer of Health: http://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus
