Deadline Approaching for Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program

Ottawa, ON – The deadline to apply for Federal Government funding through the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP) is Wednesday, December 18th, 2013.

The RFCPP was developed to support projects led by recreational fishing and angling groups, as well as conservation organizations, aimed at improving the conservation of recreational fisheries habitat. Through the 2013 Federal Budget, the RFCPP has made $10 million available over 2 years. During the first year of the program (2013-14), $4 million was made available for eligible projects. During the second year of the program (2014-15), $6 million will be available for eligible projects. Funds will be allocated through a competitive process.
